end of year reports (contract holders and death benefit) have February 3 2016 as the date, but they are really for Dec 2015- it is hard to explain to a funeral home that to find their December report, they need to look at the Feb 3 report, especially when there is also a February 1 report that is really for January 2016.  As a GIAS user, I can see the "date" field and know how to get to the year end.
